King of Woe

The mighty one,
on his mighty throne
The lies he told
Stole his crown of gold.

The beggar who licked
all his wounds.
Stood by him,
though the wretched truths!

The shield of lies
to devour the queen,
The queen a whore,
to his woe!

The only one
To stand in his way
Was the one
Who never saw the light of day!

Though the mighty
With his talks
Slandered the lowly
the ones he stalked!

The only one
To stand his way
was mightier
than the light of day!

The darkness in shadows
revealed his woe
slayed the beggar
left the whore

All three still wonder
what went wrong
Dethroned of the throne
they all sought

But the only one
to stand their way
Was a man,
in complete disarray!
